Meet Melissa Simpson, LPC

About Therapy

Walking into therapy can feel unfamiliar at first.

Many people are used to holding it together – succeeding at work or appearing fine on the outside while silently suffering with anxiety, depression, burnout, or disconnection.

When you log in for a session with me, the space is meant to feel different from the pressures of daily life. You don’t have to have it all together, perform, explain everything perfectly, or pretend things are fine.

Sessions are collaborative and conversational.

We may focus on current stressors like work stress, poor boundaries, relationship strain, or life transitions. We will explore deeper patterns.

Along the way, there will be difficult moments, relief, laughter and the occasional swearing (when appropriate). Therapy is not aboutt fixing everything overnight but about feeling understood while being gently challenged to grow.

Over time, this work begins to show up in everyday life.

You’ll feel less overwhelmed, more grounded during stress, and more connected to a life that feels balanced and meaningful.

I believe deeply in helping clients create lives that feel sustainable, meaningful, and aligned with who they truly are.

About Melissa Simpson, LPC

I became a therapist because I believe no one should have to struggle with mental health challenges in silence.

I love helping busy working professionals who feel stretched thin with responsibilities.

I aim to help you reconnect with yourself amid the chaos by integrating a blend of evidence-based therapies, including CBT, DBT, ACT, and other approaches.

Outside of Sessions

As someone who takes work-life balance seriously, I love adventure and travel.

Fun fact: I’ve hiked over 100 of Colorado’s hiking trails and visited more than 30 countries. You will also find me eating my way around Denver or spending time with my husband and our dog, Duke.

My Therapy Dog, Duke

Duke, the yellow lab mix, isn't a healthcare provider—he's simply here for comfort and companionship.

You might spot him in the background of our sessions, probably napping.
